5 VASTU TIPS FOR NEW FLAT BUYERS

The other day I saw an ad for apartments for sale in Porur, and the first thing we crossed checked was, ‘are they complying the Vastu requirements’. Yes, one of the most distinctive features of an Indian buying mindset is that the first thing they look for in an apartment or flat is, if they are constructed according to Vastu. So here are a few basic tips one should look for in a house if positive energy and vibrations matter to you.

#1. Direction

Vastu is all about the directions, as each one of it depicts different energy and its different implication in our life. And hence the main things in a house should be in the exact way to get the most out of the Positive Vibrations. For instance, your Main door should be placed in anywhere between North and East, as it isn’t only the entrance for people but for energies as well. The Bedroom should be kept facing the south-west direction as it is said to enhance the relationship of the couples. Apart from that if a person is intending to study within the house, he should do so facing north for a better flow of energies.

#2. Have the Right Images

Painting or pictures showing violence should be avoided in your home and office as they attract heavy negativity. And at the same time a painting showing a water body, scenic view or fishes can bring wealth and good luck. Size matters too. The size of the painting is directly proportional to the amount of positive energy one can imbibe.

#3. Stay Close to Nature and Cleanliness

Yet another thing that attracts positive energy is the clean glass in your house. Glasses on doors and windows should always be cleaned for that purpose. Apart from the glasses, make some space for a small for mini-garden and maybe even add a few pebbles and a water body as it symbolizes growth and prosperity.

#4. Accessorize Your House Properly

Home accessories should be handpicked carefully as they may decide the type of energy flow too. If a bedroom has wind-chimes and crystals, it prevents fights. Shoe racks, almirahs, mirrors, and every other common household item should be placed in their designated directions to ensure a positive flow of energy.

#5. Colours Matter

The type of colour not only affects the vibes, but also the mood of each and every person in the house. It’s common psychology that colours affect mood. Using dark colours can bring the morale down leading the rise of negative energies within the home, while light colours like a light shade of red, blue, green and white can induce positive energy.

It is the norm in India to buy homes that comply with Vastu Shastra. So it is only natural that all the builders would make it a priority to check all the necessary boxes. What else do you look for before selecting your dream house?
